THE COMPETITION
To mark its launch, The Dance Show will host an exciting new competition to find the Young Dancer of the Year sponsored by Spotlight, supported by INC Space, Dance XChange and The Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET).

Promising young dancers will attend regional heats in London and Birmingham, and shortlisted finalists will then battle it out in live finals at The Dance Show for the title of Young Dancer of the Year.

THE PRIZE
One lucky winner will receive a contract to appear in the Clothes Show Live Fashion Theatre; a year's membership to Spotlight Directory with showreel; a Spotlight goody bag; one year contract with top dance agency Dancers Inc; one year membership to private members club and wellness centre, I.N.C Space, Covent Garden; 2 tickets to hit West End Show ‘Wicked’ including an after show meet and greet with the cast members; and free tickets to Clothes Show Live 2011!

Arlene Phillips

ARLENE PHILLIPS TO LEAD A STAR-STUDDED JUDGING PANEL

Finalists will compete in live finals at The Dance Show on Friday 3rd December in front of a star-studded judging panel led by top TV judge Arlene Phillips.

Arlene Phillips said of her appointment as the lead judge on the panel: ‘‘It is such an honour to be the head judge at the first ever Young Dancer of the Year. I can’t wait to see the wealth of talent that will be gracing the stage. There is going to be such a variety of dancing styles and we will hopefully find someone with that ‘special something’ that will go on to be the next big thing in dance.’’
