The Dance Show is a fun educational day out and a fantastic opportunity for students to be inspired and gain experience from the best in the industry. Participate in workshops led by professionals, enjoy performances from incredible dancers, companies and final year dance students, or watch the live finals of the Young Dancer of the Year competition.

There will also be plenty of information to help you take the next step in your professional training from some of the UK’s leading colleges and universities offering courses in dance, theatre and related subjects, including Central School of Ballet.

LOOKING FOR A PORTFOLIO?
Talk to leading casting agencies including Spotlight, and learn the best ways into the industry as they help you put together a strong application for auditions. Meet a variety of industry professionals from training providers to photographers, to help you on your way to a successful dance career.

Or, if you’re looking to teach you’ll find advice from leading associations including The Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET) to help you on your way, plus information about government run initiatives and community outreach projects that you can get involved with in your local area.

Never danced before, but told that you have natural rhythm? Inspired by Britain’s Got Talent and the stars from Strictly Come Dancing? Find out about a variety of classes and projects in your local area from a range of dance schools and studios exhibiting at the show, helping you find the perfect place to learn and enjoy dance in your free time. Be sure to check out the fantastic programme of classes and events run by Dance Xchange, the nationally recognised dance house based right here in Birmingham.
