27 Mar 2015

Happy Friday! I’m stepping in for Frankie today, and as usual, I have my Friday night outfit ready to go! I’m loving jumpsuits at the minute and how versatile they are. This one by Girls on Film is my newest addition, and can be dressed up or down by simply changing your shoes and accessories. As it is almost the weekend though, I’ve gone for dressing up my jumpsuit with a hot pair of heels by Paperdolls.

It’s Friday AND the first day of spring so we’re full of positive vibes at CSHQ today! Whether it’s for daytime or evening wear, pastel colours always make for the perfect spring outfit and Mina has chosen pastel blue, pink and grey for her outfit, finished with a pop of pink lippy. If you’re looking for a transitional outfit, pastel knitwear like Mina’s jumper or the classic Burberry-style trench coats are ideal.

Tribal Prints
19 Mar 2015

Kate is stepping in for Frankie today, keeping it cute and simple with this ELEVENPARIS dress. We especially love the tribal prints along the bottom of Kate’s dress, adding just the right amount of detail and colour to her all-black outfit. With the hot weather not quite here yet (please hurry up!!), Kate has gone for jeans and shoe boots…but she will definitely be showing this dress off in the summer with a pair of wedges!

Sports luxe for spring!
17 Mar 2015

At CSHQ we’re getting super excited at the prospect of spring because, well, what’s not to love about sunnier weather and longer evenings? With summer around the corner, we’re trying to maintain our New Year’s ‘get fit’ resolution and Mina’s decided to squeeze her daily jog into her lunch break. That way, it’s still light outside and you get a burst of energy for the afternoon! If you’re struggling for motivation (like most of us…), we always feel it helps to look the part and invest in some stylish sportswear that you can’t wait to put on…

Quirky prints and British fashion
16 Mar 2015

As you’ll know, here at Clothes Show Live we are huge fans of British fashion; we love to support home-grown talent and shop the best of British brands! Mina’s dress is from Sugarhill Boutique, a Brighton-based label known for their quirky prints like this adorable elephant one. Of course, because the weather in Britain is just as varied and lively as its fashion, Mina’s had to team her dress with jeans and boots today, but we think it will make for the perfect beach dress come summer…

13 Mar 2015

I’ve stepped in for Frankie again today while she is away sunbathing on a beach, lucky girl! As I’m going out for dinner with some friends this evening, I’ve swapped the usual black jeans for some leather ones. I’m also wearing my favourite new chunky silver necklace which I stumbled on in Marks and Spencer’s on a food shop…they have an amazing jewellery selection! Now for the final part of my outfit…my Bambi bomber jacket from Parisian brand ELEVENPARIS. Who ever thought a Disney themed jacket could look so edgy?! I can’t wait to show it off tonight! Shades season is almost here...
11 Mar 2015

PFW is just too gorgeous! Stella, Saint Laurent, Chanel! Just too beautiful. Today's outfit really is an open letter of love to fashion house Chole. Currently, my favourite fashion ahhh! The soft shades, the fabrics are all to die for! My inspired look is a vintage and high street mash up. This Zara leather tunic gets a big tick from me and I have worn over sized to get that doll look. I love it mixed with this frill vintage blouse and it is the perfect shade of sand to give a designer finish!

If in doubt, go monochrome…
10 Mar 2015

Frankie is away today so Gen has put her best Parisian fashion foot forward with this chic monochrome look! Black and white has been topping the trends at Fashion Week over the last month and it’s a firm favourite in our wardrobes too. Gen’s also added a pop of red lippy and a leather clutch to her outfit for good measure…

This cardigan, is more than a cardigan. It is pure happiness! Everyone should have one. Not only is it a statement piece of fashion champions, but it is actually very practical. For it's debut, I thought a plain canvas of black and white would be the best outfit options but who knows where this pom pom piece will take me! If I lost my powers to shop tomorrow. I would be content in the fact that this was my last purchase!

From Office to Dinner!
03 Mar 2015

While Frankie is being a busy bee, I (Mina), am taking over the blog for today! Since I’m meeting my friend for dinner straight after work, I wanted an outfit that’s perfect for both occasions. I’ve gone for an all-black outfit, but spiced it up a bit with one of my favourite Accessorize necklaces, and this amazingly soft cream coat by Twist & Tango. The boots I am wearing are by far my favourite January Sales purchase this year from Topshop – so hot yet so comfy!

Fashion Hangover
27 Feb 2015

What a week of juicy fashion at LFW and still more to be had with Milan and Paris. I love seeing all the trends and tit bits from the catwalk and frow but it is good to have a fash detox. So this morning, I reached for the head to toe black. Obviously, It is not a boring all black offering. This t-shirt has sequins darling! It was a find from the De Monfort pop up shop at Clothes Show Live and I do love black trousers with a pointy boot. It adds a little drama and makes a good full stop to a look. If I ever feel unfinished, I just add a vintage jacket, check print and big shoulders , what is there not to love!

C my cashmere cape style camel colour coat
26 Feb 2015

Whilst Frankie is away at London Fashion Weekend, I (Rebecca) am standing in for today's Frankie Says Shop! Today it's all about my favourite coat from Ted Baker. This wool and cashmere cape style camel colour coat (what an amazing unintentional use of aliteration) is the best birthday gift a girl could ask for. It's so warm and soft and the silky floral lining makes me wish I could wear it inside out. This coat is perfect with both casual day outfits, like my ripped jeans and black cami, and with dresses and heels on a night out. This is definitely an investment worth making!

The Perfect Trouser
23 Feb 2015

Always, am I on the quest for the perfect trouser. I had tried and tired, but apart from my jean collection, my trouser offering was pretty poor. Either they were too seasonal or the fit was disappointing, on so many levels. However, on a recent rip to old friend Zara. I found the dream in trouser wear! They bring a whole new level to a high wasited with some clever tailoring and ensure a snug fit, with added detail of tile up and the length.... people it just goes, on and on, even when you sit down!!!! I really cannot wait to tuck in every top I own into these badboys, but have started with this crop check jumper from HOH.The nightmare ends and the dream begins at Zara!

So I think I am actually in love with the colour lilac! Not a easy shade to wear, I hear you say but I would wear it head to toe, if I could find enough of it. Today, I have gone for a little office chic with a lace and check mash up. This skirt is from House of Holland, there is also a matching jacket still calling my name but I have survived without and very much enjoying my lilac, blue and standard red nails.

My look today has ended up quite cowgirl? It all started with this plaid shirt which I tied up as I have some SUPER high waisted jeans on. Ensuring no bare flesh will ever be exposed. Time to book a holiday...
30 Jan 2015

Crisp white, is fast becoming one of my favourite shades to wear. Being a pale girl, this is a new fashion friend for me, as previously I have always reached for the fake tan- to prevent a wash out. However, I do love a white on white mix. Especially, if it gives me an excuse to wear tassels. This shawl is a find from Goldie London, luxe print and design, I went for a size bigger; to give dramatic effect for wearing with jeans and the perfect cover up on the beach. Time to book a holiday!

Buying shirts, is an insight to what shopping must be like for a boys. On first view, they all look the exactly the same, but on closer inspection there are some snazzy details, making the white shirt a real power, fashion tool. This white shirt I am sporting today, hits the 'snazz' factor with its super long length- (almost dress territory) It really adds to an outfit, I am also a big fan of the exaggerated chest detail, masculine but not too butch. It has lead to a very classic head to toe look; black jeans, printed boots and monochrome shrug. Effortless style, can actually be done with a just few clicks on ASOS!

I'm in love with the cape
14 Jan 2015

There is nothing more chic than a cape! You could be wearing a tracksuit and the power of the cape would still apply. The only problem is that everyone seems to know this, so they are a sure fire, sell out straight away! That is why I am beyond joy, at bagging this navy number from the ASOS sale! It is such a delight to wear and actually very practical as it is standard coat length and you can defo fit a leather jacket for extra warmth. Today, I have worn with jeans and pretty, pretty top but who knows the fashion journey this cape will take me on!

Nicely Neutral
13 Jan 2015

In all the madness of the colour and print sections of my wardrobe, there is a calm and neutral area, which has started to grow more and more. I always think you need a tan for neutral shades, but hopefully I have avoided any washed out looks, by adding a few interesting fashion pointers; such as some snakeskin boots and interesting fabrics. Please see  this Sisley airtex skirt. Love the racing green shade and find it really works with an 80's polo neck, curiosity of the continuity brilliant & Other Stories.?
