Get Stuck In!

Sknitch is a zone dedicated solely to celebrating traditional fashion techniques. It can help your students improve their understanding and execution of the key processes and skills needed for designing, customising and creating a fashion collection. With workshops and demonstrations as well as cool craft projects to take part in, your students will gain so much from a visit to the zone. And they can take the skills they learn back to the classroom to develop them even further.

THE INSPIRATION STAGE

Sat between Sknitch and Anita's Vintage Fashion Fair, it's the perfect opportunity for students  to work on bringing something old up to date using basic Sknitching techniques.  Experts will be on hand to help students learn and improve their customising techniques or to simply see them in action. At the demonstration stage, experts will be demonstrating customisation tips and tricks and offering you the chance to see 'Sknitchers' in action.

Meet the teams behind the leading craft titles including The Knitter, Simply Knitting and new magazine Mollie Makes. They’ll be on hand to offer tips, tricks and crafty techniques as well as fun activities for students to get stuck into.

Your students will have the chance to speak to experts in hand knitting as well as have a go for themselves! Meet the team behind Rowan & Coats, who'll be giving your students the chance to have a go at knitting for themselves as well as try out their latest collection of yarn, wool, patterns and see their latest fashion collection.
